"Activate your potential."

Ernest Josiah Kenty, a Birmingham, AL native, is a former division-1 student-athlete at Murray State University; located in Murray, KY.  Ernest "E", recovered from an ACL, LCL, MCL, and partial meniscus tear that he suffered from his second week of fall camp in college. His determination and drive to recover allowed him to make an incredible recovery to see the field again. After the greatest spring game of his life with 2 interceptions, 1 touchdown, 2 pass breakups, and 3 tackles, his scholarship was in jeopardy due to coaching changes. Even though he made a remarkable comeback on the field, his love for the game had been strained. His process of winning a championship off the field had begun and he was forced to figure out life without physically participating in the sport but allowing the spirit of the sport to drive his passion. 

 

Today, "E" is a public speaker, author, content creator/ influencer, and educator, who uses his voice to "empower, motivate, and activate.” E is an award-winning educator who has won 2021-22 Teacher of the Year (his first-year teaching) and 2022-23 Outstanding Middle School Educator of the Year. He is a 2x recipient of the Daniel Milam Student Leader Award (Murray State University).  

 

E is currently a Lead Instructional Facilitator and Digital Engagement Specialist for the Financial Freedom Project, who aims to embed financial literacy resources into the heart of Birmingham, AL and beyond.

 

E has developed a strong following on social media with over 25K+ followers across all social media platforms. E finds passion in partnering with local and national small businesses in his creative content production strategies. His biggest collaboration to date has been Walmart, which highlights teacher wish list. 

 

E is an energetic and electrifying speaker who can effectively grasp the attention of an audience. E spends extensive time and effort toward empowering the youth and young adults to reach their full potential. [His foundational message to his target audience, student-athletes, is if the principles of sports are effectively applied within your personal life, you will achieve greatness!] E has learned the many benefits of taking advantage of all areas of his life due to the principles learned through the sport of football.
